Porth Nanven - part 2

Once the sun dips below the horizon my camera is directed straight out to sea. Moving as quickly as possible around the slippery egg shaped rocks, I took a range of images of the view in front of me. I deliberately used slow shutter speeds to blur the water as the waves broke in front of me - on this occasion the tide was coming in, so great care was needed when moving around.

As observed at Godrevy lighthouse, the orange /red tones of sunset give way to deep blue tones as the light drops further.

I really love being at Porth Nanven as the last ebb of light disappears. The solitude and peace of this great location is something truly inspiring!
